What is the difference between a unilateral and mutual NDA?
A unilateral NDA protects only one party's information (e.g., a startup sharing its idea with an investor). A mutual NDA protects both parties equally, commonly used when two companies explore a business partnership or merger.
How long should a survival clause be in an NDA?
For standard business information, a 2–5 year survival period is common. For trade secrets and proprietary formulas, a perpetual (indefinite) clause is standard. Our AI will recommend the right duration based on the nature of your business.
Can an NDA prevent someone from working for a competitor?

Can the NDA cover multiple projects or is it project-specific?
